Tazo was created for one purpose: to reinvent tea and the tea experience. Tazo's experienced and creative tea masters use only premium quality ingredients, yielding teas that are bold and extremely flavorful. In addition, Tazo uses 30% to 40% more tea per filterbag than other brands, filling even the largest cup with unique and distinctive flavors and aromas. Tazo also uses no "dust" (tiny tea leaf particles) to fill its filterbags - just broken leaf pieces and fannings.
The name Tazo has roots in many civilizations, meaning "river of life" in the Romany Gypsy language and spoken as a toast to life by ancient Greeks. Tazo also means "fresh" in several Hindi dialects. In ancient Babylonia, Tazo was a rejuvenating elixir thought to have magical properties. In modern society, Tazo stands for an exotic array of teas with imaginative, inviting flavors.
I have used this tea a lot in the past, insisting on the quality. It has too much caffeine for me to use as often anymore but it still tastes great and is very effective when I need a boost to wake up in the morning. Great hot or iced; it can really stand up to a lot of ice without being bitter on its own. You can really taste the difference in the blend from other lower end teas.
I am not a morning person, but occasionally, Even I have to get up very early to be someplace on time, I always make a cup of Tazo Awake before I go, It is not an option if I want to be awake and invigorated before I go out the door. It has a great tea aroma, It is so smooth with absolutely no bitter taste like so many teas have. It is great for anytime you need a little reviving. What more can you ask of a little bag of leaves and some hot water. I prefer my tea with a great clover honey or raw sugar, But it is good with white sugar or a little sweetner too. I am a diabetic so I want my food and drink to have the best flavor I can get. Tazo teas give me that flavor.
