Rooibos, Aspafathus Linearis, grows in South Africa. It is an herb that contains no caffeine. Those that drink Rooibos claim that it has a soothing effect on headaches, disturbed sleeping patterns, and digestive problems. Rooibos contains healthy nutrients such as iron, potassium, calcium, copper, zinc, magnesium, fluoride, manganese, and sodium. Rooibos seeds are planted during February and March. They are ready for harvesting after 18 months. Cut Rooibos is bound and milled to a uniform length, then bruised between rollers to trigger the fermentation process which turns the leaves from green to deep red and gives a slightly sweet note. Combine this with natural strawberry pieces, thistle petals, rose petals, and blackberry leaves and you have a delicious fruity drink with a sweet taste profile, but not sugary sweet. This truly refreshing tea is great hot or iced.

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

IF you can get past the strawberry oatmeal like smell, this "tea" is great. IT looks a clear strawberry red color, and tastes sweet with hints of strawberry. Only negative is the lack of directions-but hey thats what the internet is for right? Is seems that "tea" from this herb never goes bitter...and my testing seems to agree. 4 to 6 minutes brewing seems best to get intense but not too sweet flavor.
