For centuries, Franciscan monks have used tea to keep them awake during long periods of meditation. Their ancient and harmonious blend has been recreated and has been aptly named "Monk's Blend". This bright, coppery infusion is made from Orange Pekoe from Sri Lanka grown between 4,800 feet and 7,600 feet above sea level. The tea leaves are treated with a mysterious blend of natural flavor oils such as vanilla and grenadine, imparting a smooth, subtle bouquet; yet allowing the taste of the tea to come through. Overall, it is medium bodied and highly flavorful with a piquant Ceylon character.
