Whole caraway seeds have been blended with black Ceylon tea to create this robust infusion. Whole seeds are used to preserve the volatile oils found in caraway, which include carvone and limonene. Carvone and limonene act as a carminative, to sooth Irritable Bowl Syndrome, bowel pain, gas, and bloating. Throughout history, caraway has also been used as a folk treatment for bronchitis, loss of appetite, sore throat, fevers, colds, and coughs.

Even if you're not looking for holistic teas, we've found the addition of caraway adds a unique, mildly anise-like flavor to the smooth, full taste of Ceylon tea. Just brew as you would for normal black tea; pour boiling water over 1 tsp and steep for 5 minutes before removing infuser.

Comments about Caraway Ceylon Tea:

This tea was just what I was looking for. Really helps after an upset stomach - which is something my grandmother used to make back in the 40's. If you let it brew too long, it can become a little bitter, so don't overbrew. It's plenty strong after 3 or 4 min.
