Clements Faugier began as a chestnut-based foods factory in Privas in the Rhone-Alps region. Since 1882, Clement Faugier has been the first and largest processor of chestnuts in France with 50% of sweet chestnuts being cultivated in the Ardèche. Most of Fugier's chestnuts come from nearby Vesseaux.

These cooked chestnuts are unsweetened and vaccum packed. They have a natural, sweet, nutty, creamy flavor making them so good that it is hard to stop eating them straight out of the jar. They are ideal for cooking. Use in soup, stews, and stuffings. They add a subtle nut flavor to vegetable dishes and sauces.

I adore chestnuts so I have often labored over the fresh nuts, but this year I wanted a stuffing rich with them even though I was too busy to breath. I ordered these and they saved the day...so I ordered them again! I've made soup and stuffing and puree and they are good right from the jar. What an indulgence; and you can keep them on your pantry shelf.

My arthritic hands love the convenience of prepped chestnuts. It was disappointing that they molded right away.
