Pici is a simple pasta that is similar to spaghetti, but it is made in much longer strands that are twisted into neat little coils before drying. When they are cooked, they once again separate into individual strands. This pasta is a specialty of Tuscany and is made for us by the makers of our pasta sauces, Vecchia Maremma. This pasta was once made by hand, rolling each noodle on a flat surface until it was thin and long enough to call pici. Today it is made by machine, but the strands are still twisted together into "nests" manually.

disappointed

Cons:
Bad Flavor
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

You used to carry a thicker pici pasta a year or more ago that was a far superior product. The pici product you carry now is thinner shorter and is broken into small pieces by the time it arrives. Until you go back to the original product I wont be wasting my money on this product anymore!

Great pasta (can't find in stores in Chicago), tastes just like it did in Italy!!! Specific to the Tuscan region, great with a homemade Ragu sauce (which will take 7-8 hours to make) just like it was served in Tuscan restaurants. VERY filling so you don't need too much!

I used it with spaghetti sauce. It was too thick for spaghetti but my neighbor, who was the recipient of the second free package, managed it make a delicious main dish with it. I am not as good a cook as she is, so if I am not thrilled with this product, it is my own fault.

Pici pasta is very difficult to find.[...] I can enjoy this pasta treasure anytime. Flavorful with any sauce - pici is my absolute fav when it comes to italian pasta! The only thing better is FRESH pici pasta - which I recently found in an Italian restaurant in New York City!
