TartufLanghe, founded in 1968 by Domenica Bertolusso and Beppe Montanaro, is situated in the Langhe, a beautiful region at the base of the Italian Alps in the south of Piedmont. Much of the world's white truffle harvest comes from this region - the Land of Precious Bounty. The Langhe region is also known for spectacular wines and great cheeses. Risotto is one of the most delicious and sophisticated elements of the traditional northern Italian menu. Now, exquisite black truffle risottos can be made at home with ease. These "Ready Risotto" mixes only need water and seven minutes of preparation time. Available in two tempting varieties: Black Truffle, Barolo Wine and Black Truffle. Varieties sold separately.

Comments about Truffle Risotto Mixes:

I had very high hopes for this truffle risotto & was very excited to recieve it unfortunately when I tasted it I was highly disappointed. I was hoping for a nice, flavorful, creamy risotto, but instead it tasted like I was eating a stick of truffle butter. Maybe if it was thinned out with more water or plain risotto it would have been edible, but even another foodie friend of mine couldn't eat it.

This is a wonderful change from the usual bland risottos. The presence of truffles is evidenced by both aroma and flavor.

I have M.S. and have had to change the way I cook. I was so happy to see an instant risotto, my husband misses it, its been three years since I last made it. It is wonderful, it did take about 5 min. longer.
