Since Nirmala Narine (talented author of In Nirmala's Kitchen) was a child growing up in Guyana, South America, she has focused on mingling the fragrant spices of her Indian roots with the bold flavors of the West Indies and South America. Nirmala has spent the past ten years traveling to spice plantations, local farms, and bustling marketplaces in search of exotic ingredients for her original recipes.

This Jasmine Rice is infused with rare Kashmir saffron, which imparts a more delicate and fruity flavor with hints of Alleppey turmeric and sweet paprika creating a bursting citrus-like flavor. Perfect for paellas, biryani, or in soups. Comes with easy-to-follow recipe and in a handsome lightweight bottle wrapped in a hand-made banana leaf paper that Nirmala brought back from Kerala.

Comments about Asian Jasmine Rice with Saffron:

I love rice and am extremely picky about it. But this was excellent quality rice with full saffron flavor in every bite. You can see the strands mixed in. I will be buying a lot more of this.

Comments about Asian Jasmine Rice with Saffron:

A little disappointed in this product. It looks great and cooks up great but the flavor and the aroma are not this. If there is much saffron in this stuff I will kiss a pig. It is however, to be fair, a good quality of rice. Cooks up like Jasmine and looks pretty on the plate but if you want flavors then add them yourself.
