Cuba is the largest island in the West Indies about 92 miles due south of Key West, Florida. While sugarcane and its many by-products are Cuba's main exports, citrus fruits and world renowned tobacco follow close behind. While American tourism was once a big source of income for Cuba, it unfortunately came to a halt under Castro's regime. However, Europeans, Canadians and others still flock to this musical and fun loving country. The cuisine, though diverse and delicious, is "jazzy" - like Cuban music, not spicy hot like that of neighbors Jamaica and Mexico.
