Provence is known as the fruit and vegetable basket for France and Europe. As a result, the dishes that are created and served there are famous for freshness and robust flavor. A famous blend of herbs from this region is essential for creating any of their typically hearty, fragrant meals. Rosemary and thyme grow in wild abundance across the local countryside, making them integral flavors. Savory, marjoram, and basil complete this traditional Provencal base. This blended preparation is excellent for flavoring meats, soups, and vegetables. Try some as a potpourri. The smell alone will instantly sweep you off to Provence.
Please note that each cloth bag has a different pattern, and, as a result, a specific pattern cannot be ordered. The photo shows a sampling of the many beautiful patterns on the bags in which the herbs are packaged.

Flavors are good. Can't use too much though or it may overpower what you're cooking.

Comments about Herbes de Provence in Linen bag:

I use these spices in soups and sauces and they really add a wonderful flavor to them. I've even been using them to season rice pilaf and they give it a very unique and great tasting flavor. I have also tried them in oil and vinegar dressing. When I run out of them, I will definitely reorder! They are terrific.
