This handmade Scottish condiment gets its inspiration from India. Indian cuisine usually includes more than one of these relishes accompanying each meal. Chutney was popularized in Great Britain when India was part of the British Empire and is now a staple in British cuisine. Chutney is prominently featured in the Ploughman's Lunch, a meal that also includes crusty bread, cold cuts and cheese. This chutney is made with prunes, apricots, dates, mixed spices, onions and sugar. Serve this delicious condiment with your favorite sharp cheeses.

This chutney is a delicious and well balanced combination of savory and sweet. Great with imported and domestic cheeses. I purchased it on a whim while stocking up on our favorite iGourmet non-perishables. This product is a winner. I will definitely buy it again.

My husband and I can hardly enjoy (or entertain guests with) a variety of cheeses if this scrumptious chutney is not alongside. We're bereft when igourmet--and our cupboard--are out of stock. Just the right sweet-sour-savory balance. Yummy. Yummy. Yummy.

I love to entertain. My challenge for the day was to make my British friends enjoy a taste of home. Igourmet helped me plan the cheeses, crackers and added this great condiment. It was a huge success and they even called me "Her Grace".

Received this chutney in a British themed gift basket and since then I've ordered 3 more jars. It really is addictive. I'm now a chutney lover.

As soon as I tasted it, I recognized the flavor as something that had been part of several dishes we had on a trip to the UK. It's fabulous with sharp cheddar cheese and crackers.

I am a major fan of chutneys and this chutney is one of the best! I ordered one and used it up in a couple of weeks. It is so addictive, I have ordered two the second time. I use this on chicken wraps wiht lettuce, tomato avocado and mango. This chutney adds just the right amount of kick to make the wrap really special and delicious

OK so it sounds gross but if you are putting together a ture cheese plate a chutney is a must. This is excellent with everything from a standard sharp cheddar to a blue cheese goat cheese.
