Most Americans are not familiar with the lingonberry. Lingonberries grow wild in Scandinavian forests and in Northern Canada. These wild berries flourish in the summer during the midnight sun. They are small firm berries with a slightly sweet and slightly sour flavor. Lingonberry Preserve is a traditional Scandinavian food with an exotic flavor. Our Lingonberry Preserve is made in Sweden and is a delicious alternative to tart jams and preserves, such as currant or raspberry.

This sauce has a very bright red color and fresh taste, probably due somewhat to the addition of the preservative potassium sorbate. It tastes better than the Felix brand usually available at our grocery stores.

I use this a lot at the present time. I take a wedge of brie cheese and top with a few spoonfuls of Lingonberry preserves. Warm for one minute in microwave oven. This delicious spread will top anything from crusty french bread to toasted English Muffins. Be careful - it's addicting!

I really like it. I have had it at I-Hop when I order Swedish pancakes. I had never been able to buy it before. I was so happy to locate the product. I used it on waffles. I was happy to get the recipes for meatballs, pancakes, and scones. Thank you very much.
