L'Epicurien has a long history starting in the 19th Century. It was originally a fine food store which was selling its own home-made jams. These jams became so successful that Bernard Le Gulvout finally had no choice but to build a factory.
L'Epicurien is located at The Bosc village in the Languedoc area, close to Montpellier and the Mediterranean sea. Thanks to this perfect situation between the Mediterranean sea coast and the first Cevennes mountains, they benefit from the deeply anchored traditions of a very rich and diversified country. His jams are slowly simmered in cauldrons with 55% fruit. The deep and rich colors of fruits or vegetables, together with their delicate flavors, are deliciously revealed.
His Concassee of Tomatoes with crystallized black olives tastes so fresh right out of the jar! Concasse is roughly chopped tomatoes that have been peeled and seasoned. A handy product to have in the kitchen, it can be used as a sauce with vegetables or pasta. Try using it to complement meats, seafood, or polenta to add flair to your dishes. You will find that it is even delicious spread on fresh bread and warmed in the oven.
