Located in: From the Garden, Fruit and Preserves
This zesty tomato jam is made from seasonal, vine-ripened tomatoes. Carefully cultivated in the ecologically pure farmland of Alentejo, Portugal; these tomatoes are combined with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon rind.

Delicious when served with crusty bread and sheep's milk cheeses such as Portuguese Serpa.

Comments about Da Morgada Tomato Jam:

For over forty years I have preferred tomato preserves served with hot, buttered English Muffins thanks to my college standby Al's Breakfast in Dinkytown USA, Minneapolis. I finally have had to resort to ordering online because I can't find any in even the finest Charlotte, NC stores. I've tried two others but these are by far the best and worth double the list price [...] Two poached eggs on a muffin and a muffin with tomato, now that's breakfast!

I used this as a snack with a strong pecerono romano. It smells like it will be very tomato like, but it's just sweet.

Comments about Da Morgada Tomato Jam:

My dad and I used to get tomato jam when I was a kid and we would eat it on toast. We where looking for that memory. This version of tomato jam was too sweet and the tomato flavor lost out to it.

Comments about Da Morgada Tomato Jam:

This is very good, but also very sweet & not very spicy. I was spoiled by my Mom's homemade tomato jam which was not quite so sweet, and had more of an allspice flavor.
