Maggie Beer is based in Tanunda, in the heart of the famous Barossa Valley in Australia. Maggie's Blood Plum paste is made from ruby blood plums, the most difficult of all fruits to extract the stone. This is the most piquant of all of her pastes and has the highest fruit content. The plum itself is one step short of tart! Maggie recommends matching this paste with creamy, ripe traditional Brie, a triple cream, or washed rind style cheese. The richer and riper the cheese, the better the match.
