Tupelo Honey is produced from the Tupelo Gum Tree (Nyssa Aquatica), also known as the Water Tupelo, which grows in the rivers and swamps surrounding Savannah, Georgia. The Savannah Bee Company keeps its bees on the banks of the Ochlockonee River, the only place in the world where Tupelo Honey is produced commercially. This raw honey is light amber in color and has a deliciously unique flavor. It is becoming one of the most requested table-grade honeys in the U.S.A., not only for its taste, but also because it does not crystallize. Presented in a stunning fluted bottle, it also serves a practical purpose by allowing you to pour or drizzle your honey easily.

I bought this as a gift to give to a good friend who collects interestingly-shaped bottles. It turns out that this friend adores honey in her tea, so this made for something extra special. She really enjoyed the clean, delicate flavor of the honey, and upon tying it myself, I would totally agree. The only bummer was the the bottle of honey had a bug in it which was not too appetizing.
