Located in: From the Garden, Honey
This extraordinary honey originates from the Alentejo region of Portugal. An abundance of lavender thrives in this untamed area, allowing bees to propagate freely. The result is a sparkling golden honey. Previously offered on igourmet with a selection of nuts, we are now pleased to carry this lavender honey on its own. Try this floral honey on desserts and ice cream, or use to glaze chicken breast and shrimp, or to add sweetness to vinaigrettes.

Comments about Alentejo Lavender Honey:

This honey is the perfect enhancement to a cup of tea. I also use it as the secret ingredient in a extra virgin olive oil and modena balsamic vinegar salad dressing, just those three ingredients over greens topped with fresh slivers of Parmigiano cheese has gotten rave reviews from my dinner guests. I have tried other brands of lavender honey and they don't come close to the smooth, almost creamy taste of this honey.
