The first drops of rain in early September nourish the soil and mark the close of Java's long annual dry period. The change in season is a wonderful time to behold as the air is perfumed with the sudden blooming of tropical fruit trees and island bees are hard at work collecting the sweet floral nectar to make their honey.
  • Coffee Blossom Honey: Much like the heady floral perfume of coffee blossoms themselves, this honey is fragrant with the aroma and flavor of citrus zest and star fruit.
  • Mango Blossom Honey: A dark amber honey, Mango Blossom reveals smoke, butter, black cherries and high notes of passion fruit to provide a truly sensual experience.
  • Rambutan Blossom: From the flowers of the rambutan tree comes a honey with colors ranging from light to dark amber depending on the season. The honey has a fruity nose and overtones of sweet citrus.
  • Lychee Blossom: A smooth, buttery honey. Its perfectly rounded flavors and subtle hints of fruit make Lychee Blossom easy to understand and easy to love.

Even before you open it, it's yummy to the eyes. The jar has a nice fabric top with a string tie. Would be nice as part of a gift basket. The honey itself is delicious. Eat it plain right off a silver spoon. Or add it to a cup of steaming tea, sit on a porch and contemplate life.

Would not recommend the coffee flower ho
By cheesegirl from San Francisco on 3/3/2007
Cons:
Bad Flavor
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I wish I knew what flavor that other reviewer tried. I ordered the coffee flower. The honey has an odd Molasses taste, which I do not like at all. If I wanted molasses, I'd buy molasses. It was advertised as being floral- I find that missing completely. And citrus zest? Give me a break. Anyway, if you want a honey that tastes like molasses, this honey is for you. I like more floral honeys- Scottish Bell Heather honey, for example, is my idea of a really superb honey. This is my idea of a really bad honey. But bear in mind, I ONLY ordered the coffee flower, and i won't be taking any chances on the other brands.
