For 9,000 years we have been collecting honey from the honeybee. Known as the "nectar of the gods" by the Greeks, this was the only sweetener for people of antiquity. The D'arbo family has been producing fine preserves and honey since 1879 in Austria. Their honey is made from the sweet clovers favored by bees of the genus "Melilotus." The main use of the abundant and pretty clover is to feed animals and provide nectar for bees. The female worker bee lives but six to eight weeks and only produces 1/12th of a tsp. of honey in her lifetime! Just think how many bees it took to produce this 1.1 lb. jar of honey! Golden and pure, D'arbo's clover honey is rich and creamy with an exceptional flavor and a clean, rounded natural sweetness. A must in every kitchen.

I just recently started exploring honeys outside of the plastic bear. Clover honey is the best I've tasted so far. I eat it spread on toast with butter with my coffee in the morning. Its also wonderul on crepes and muffins. This a the perfect something if you are looking for something new.

Wonderful texture for spreading on toast, warm muffins, etc.
I use it to put in my tea and it adds to the flavour of the herbal teas I use.
