Menu is a specialty food products company that began life as a salami factory run by Romolo Barbieri in Cavezzo (province of Modena), Italy in the 1930's. Over the years, the company, now run by Romolo's son, Rodolfo, has expanded to create quality Italian food products for fine restaurants around the world.

This exquisite item from Menu is a blend of chopped Porcini mushrooms, sunflower oil, and margarine cooked into a rich earthy sauce. Excellent as a pasta sauce, you can also use it as a spread for sandwiches, or use it to fill canapes and vol-au-vents. For a unique recipe, use it as a pizza topping! A must have for the mushroom lover.

Comments about Porcini Mushroom Cream by Menu:

bought this product by mistake, thinking it was the Mushroom and Truffle Cream (which is wonderful). Was very disappointed in flavor and texture of this product. Was more disappointed to go online and find that the Mushroom and Truffle Cream is currently out of stock.

Comments about Porcini Mushroom Cream by Menu:

Disappointed in this product as I love the strong taste of porcini. Used it as a pasta sauce and a base for sauteed fresh veggies. Very oily, almost no flavor, like a clotted flour sauce... some pleasant chunkiness, but basically, bland, dull, and heavy. Jar too big, hard to open. Would not suggest this particular product to anyone.
