From the Italian verb Bruscare, meaning “to roast over coals”, Bruschetta has come a long way from its humble origins. Originally a simple garlic bread drizzled in olive oil, Bruschetta has come to embrace all kinds of incarnations and is as ubiquitous at informal dinners here in the U.S as it is in Italy. As with most Italian dishes, the Sicilians have put their own unique stamp on this now staple. Wonderful, diverse flavors such as mint, garlic, basil and peperoncini lend this chunky, substantial sauce a charm all of its own. Toast with olive bread for the real Sicilian experience.

This is an excellent, tasty product. But, for the price you can, and I have, create a similar product in your kitchen for much less.

I first had this product via my daughter's trip to Italy. Unable to find it at any store I finally found it at [@]. I have eaten lots of Bruschetta but this one is fabulous!
