These plump, roasted garlic cloves come from Sossano, situated at the southern end of the Berici Hills, which rise a few kilometers south of Vicenza in Italy. They enjoy a mild and temperate climate in this area which encourages a great variety of aromatic herbs and wild shrubs among which juniper is widespread. The Berici Hills are famous for their many DOC wines, olive oil, black truffles, peas and cherries. The foothill area around Sossano is ideal for growing salads and vegetables. This is the fertile land where Coelsanus' garlic is grown. Their roasted garlic is preserved in sunflower oil which is light enough to let the flavor really shine through. The cloves are tender and sweet and roasted to perfection.
