From Tuscany to Abruzzi, the twenty regions of Italy offer a bounty of gastronomic delights that have enchanted the rest of the world for centuries. This "treasure chest" brings together some of the finest food items that Italy has to offer.
Containing:
  • Parmigiano Reggiano Vacche Rosse: Produced in small quantities by Fanticini in Villa Sabione near Reggio Emilia using milk exclusively from the “Red Cow”. Its unique nutty, fruity, grassy flavor is richer than most Reggianos and its texture is somehow creamier, even though it is aged for a much longer time. (8 oz.)
  • Boschetto al Tartufo Bianchetto: A fresh blend of sheep and cow's milk studded with rare white truffle shavings. This is a true Tuscan delicacy. (8 oz.)
  • Basilio: Basil and extra virgin olive oil are rubbed on the rind of this Tuscan cheese, melding with soft pecorino to create harmonious pesto-like flavors. (8 oz.)
  • Briscole al Barbera: An exquisite, handmade specialty cheese from La Casearia in Verona. Bathed in Barbera wine. (8 oz)
  • Prosciutto: Perfectly pre-sliced succulent, fruity Italian ham. (3 oz.)
  • Mostarda with Whole Fruits: Lazzaris Fruit Mostarda is produced using a variety of whole fruits. Dipped in sugar and glucose syrup and pure mustard oil, its characteristic taste allows it to be enjoyed on its own; as an excellent dessert; as well as being a first-class accompaniment to a number of dishes. (260 g)
  • Pesto by Olio Carli: In Liguria, Italy, basil grows on just about every hillside that meets the Mediterranean. Carli's pesto contains no preservatives or colorants, yet it maintains a fabulous dark green color. (4.6 oz)
  • De Nigris Balsamic Vinegar of Modena - 8 Stars: Balsamic from Modena that is perfect for salads, BBQs and marinating. (500 ml.)
  • Maestri Pastai Pastas: The use of high quality durum wheat and thicker cuts of pasta make this dried pasta taste handmade. Bronze drawing plates are used to give the pasta its shape
  • Maestri Extra Virgin Olive Oil in Decorated Tin: This premium extra virgin olive oil is made from a single olive varietal, the Nocellara del Belice grown in Western Sicily where the climate and soil have produced some of the world's finest olives for thousands of years. (500 ml)
  • Acacia Honey by IL Forteto: Pure, translucent golden honey made from nectar collected from the spring-blossoming acacia trees in the lush hills of Tuscany. (1.1 lb.)
  • Caffe Vergnano 1882 Coffee: Based in Turin since 1882, Vergnano low roasts a variety of Arabicas from Central and South America to create a blend to please the most demanding connoisseurs. (8.8 oz.)
  • Venchi Crema Gianduja Bar: Venchi, based in Robilante, has been creating traditional Piedmont chocolates since 1878. They still use the finest ingredients to create their chocolate masterpieces. (2.5 oz)
  • Ravida Sea Salt: Ravida Sea Salt comes from the low waters of the Mediterranean Sea along the western coast of Sicily. It has beautiful white grains with intense flavor and subtle sweetness that make it the ideal table salt. (7.14 oz)
Now that's Italian, at its finest! 14 luxurious gourmet Italian foods in all.
