Decided on this last minute gift for Father's Day. Loaded my basket with 3 different kinds of cheeses, crackers, olives, salami and cookies. The hardest part was trying to decided which ones to include... everything looks so yummy! My dad loved everything and said the presentation was excellent.[...] Will definitely be recommending igourmet to my friends and family.

Selected an assortment of items, the basket I orginally wanted to send was out of stock...my fault, waited too close to Mother's Day. My Mom is a "chef" in her own right. She loved all the German items that we choose. Will definitely buy again in the future.

We were looking for a unique gift for a 50th birthday gift and your create your own basket was perfect. My husband and I don't know alot about Italian cheese but our Italian sister-in-law was delighted with the gift. Your descriptions of the cheeses really helped us to choose.
Comments about Create Your Own Gift Basket:
I chose (The first gift,)"To create your own 'CUSTOM' gift basket." My sister was turning 50yrs. old. and of course I wanted to do something OUTSTANDING!(I put alot of thought what to get, THEN I had to choose WHAT cheeses she would like.(This was PERFECT for me because I HATE shopping in stores.)
(For me,)"You have to think what kind of person you are buying for, i.e. style, habits, favorite foods AND Igourmet, was ideal ON-LINE shopping for me, BECAUSE it has "Diversity;" Olive oils, tea, coffee, cheeses, sweets, pantry items, chocolate, wines, cheeese cake, desserts, meat, seafoods, beverages sooooooo much from so many countries all over the world. AND gives a description whatever you choose, region of the country, how it is made, i.e. cheese, how it ages. AND it has PICTURES, yeah! Photos of the item, makes this site soooooooo wonderful! "There are so MANY products to choose from."
So I checked out 4 Italian cheeses,(she has loved cheese since she was a little girl.)
Cantuccini Biscotti's, Chocolate & Almound.
Italian Chocolates (which the kids ate.)
A "Custom made basket," (Igourmet makes suggestions,) I picked a bamboo basket. You can also choose the "tin bucket," I am sure I screwed up that description. Alsooooooooo, it gives the dimensions, i.e. "13 x 11" AND "how many items" 5 to ll can fit in the gift basket, tin bucket whatever you choose.(Also, you can call on the "Chat line," if you have a quick question.)
All "Custom made baskets" you can save and use for anything in the house. AGAIN, great photos!
It took 2 days to decide which cheeses Gioia, would like best. I had to narrow it down from 10000 choices. (Well it seemed like it!)(Not an easy task!)
Any problems YES! Because there is so much to choose from, "I wanted everything." I chose my limit for cheese down to four. (I also had to limit how much to spend.)
I wanted to "Create" MY OWN 'Italian' gift basket with all Italian items. This way you can CHOOSE what you want. Igourmet does not dictate "You can't do this!" or "You have to do that!"
Also, Igourmet has also a small map/shape of the country where the product was made. The photos are so colorful AND you can "Enlarge the item" so you can have a better look. (For people like me who has bad eyesight.)
I chose crostini Tuscan crackers or something similar to spread cheese if she wanted too! (Photos, of course what the "size," and flavor of the crackers look like.)
I did get the cheese knife, her first reaction was "What's this?" It had "holes" in the knife and the family was trying to figure out how to use it to cut the cheese. (When I find out, I will let everyone know.)
I really hope this was as detailed as you can get. Believe me I could write more.
I got another "Create your own basket" for my 84yr. old mother's birthday. I got her Italian biscuits(of course!)because she has tea at night with my father. So I wanted to get something special for that time.
I got a "Fig" trational spread AND of course crackers to go with it.
I did "cheat" and traveled to another country, Greece for those "Wedding cookies." (The white powder cookies, YUM!)
Okay that's it I am afraid my computer will shut down.
I love Igourmet because it let's me do research at my leisure at any time of the day 24/7.
So glad you exist!
Recommend for especially folks who HATE shopping like me, like to research the perfect gift WITHOUT RUSHING!

A bit expensive, but certainly makes for a great looking gift. Very tastefully organized in a lovely copper-like basket.

Comments about Create Your Own Gift Basket:
Not bad for the cost. Did not work well with a dual order though. If you want something for yourself and another order gift basketed for someone else, the system did not communicate well to those that packed up the order. Two orders were packed into the gift basket and the gift card reflected that. Be careful how you approach any similar scenario. Otherwise, it was attractive, well presented, and well received. Anything that gets you a loving hug and kiss is worth the effort!
