- Poem by Ogden Nash. Martinis in one form or another have been enjoyed since 1862. Although its origin is controversial, some say it was named after a town in California (Martinez), others say Martini di Arma di Taggia created it at the Knickerbocker Hotel in New York. Regardless of its origin, martinis gain in popularity with each generation whether it's the classic with gin or vodka with a splash of vermouth, or newer variations such as Cosmopolitans or bitter apple.
Our martini board is geared toward the more traditional martini lover. We have selected some items we have found complement a good martini very well indeed. We are great martini enthusiasts and [...]we took advantage of a little post-holiday cheer! We enjoyed all of the products included in this set and pulled out the durable and attractive martini tray this past weekend for a bit of fun when we set up a cheese board, with home made bread, and pomegranate martinis!
