Great bacon...good smokey sweet flavor. Can be a bit salty..but great fpr breakfast and BLTs. Can be cut to your desired thickness. Kids love it!

This is a good product. The first slab I purchased [...] is excellent. I use slab bacon normally as seasoning in other foods. I seldom slice it so can not comment on how it does as sliced for cooking. For my uses it is a little lean and some of the lean sections that I did slice and fry were a little tough. However, for normal home use this is agreat product.Dave

This bacon has a very nice smoked flavor and is lean and tender. However, the slab I received was extremly salty. It is okay to add as a flavoring to such things as baked beans etc but is practically inedible to eat solo. Heavy salt!!

In all fairness however I-Gourmet immediatly gave me store credit for this item when I called them. They stated saltyness has not been previously reported and perhaps I just go a maveric.

Like my Grandma used to use.

This is great, I'm ordering another slab now. I cooked a thanksgiving breakfast for about 6 family members that were visiting for the holiday, they were fighting over the last piece.
I appears fatty but cooks up like it's all lean, with very little shrinkage. Good chewy-ness when cooked on a cookie sheet in the oven. The microwave and paper towel method dried it out and it was too brittle for me.

Very disapointed with this bacon. I ended up with a 6.35 lb. slab of brown sugared fat. Others make claims of very lean product, unfortunately I ended up with the extra chubby pig.
