Lumpfish caviar is an excellent alternative to pricier Caspian Sea varieties. This specialty caviar is a perfect addition to a gourmet meal; used as a substitute in recipes calling for the more traditional roes. It also makes a beautiful garnish, especially alongside sushi. Originally from Iceland, ours is from neighboring Sweden.

Whenever we serve this caviar to our guests they cannot believe that it isn't Beluga. We have given several people your web address & they have also ordered from igourmet. [...]

Comments about Black Lumpfish Caviar:

This caviar is a great finishing touch for any get-together. I made a savory baked brie that I filled with a creamy wild mushroom paste. After it was baked we divided it into serving portions, then topped each with a rounded teaspoon of caviar. It added the perfect, delicate "pop!" to the dish that really made it something spectacular.

Okay for many but not for me

Comments about Black Lumpfish Caviar:

The overuse of salt makes this one lose it's potential as an excellent caviar. I know many are the same, but a lot of us cannot have this much salt and it destroys the taste. Suggestion: Have your suppliet make a low-salt product. Your Aruga is a good example of excellent caviar.

WOW, scary to buy caviar online, like pate. But no fear, reader, this stuff is as good as the expensive kind, no bull. I am on a special diet for a while, sort of like Atkins with protein being the majority of what I eat. To get variety in my diet, I thought of deviled eggs with caviar on top. Within 48 hours of my order, here came the best darned stuff I've ever tasted, for the ridiculously low price of [$]. I have taken a picture of my eggs with my "eggs" on top (haha) - enjoy as my hubby did!
