Chorizo de Pueblo is an authentic product imported from the Burgos area of Spain. Similar to our popular Chorizo by Palacios, this variety is a bit drier with a less forceful, more wine-friendly flavor. Packed in a natural casing, this traditional Spanish cured sausage is best served before the meal as part of a tapas course. The larger bulk size makes it great for a large party or for cooking.

Comments about Campofrio Chorizo Espanol:

This is a very versatile chorizo. It can be cooked in soups, stews, added to vegetables for flavor, grilled, in sandwiches in baguette bread, or simply sliced and served with red wine and some cheese. Pretty good but there's still better right in Spain, ah!

Great buy with one exception
By WoodyVerified Reviewer from Coos Bay OR on 2/26/2007
Pros:
Good Value

Comments about Campofrio Chorizo Espanol:

Having lived in Spain, we have had the opportunity to savor many chorizos. This one has all good qualities except for the large segments of pork gritle that are difficult to chew. Other producers apparently grind the meat finer.
