Comments about Saucisson Sec by D'Artagnan:

This is not even close to tasting as good as the saucisson sec we get at Intermarche in France does. My first thought when I tasted the D'Artagnan was Slim Jim. Unfortunately the brand of the one we prefer escapes me at the moment. It isn't Trois Petits Cochons which is quite common in supermarkets in France. What we get there has less fat and is drier than this D'Artagnan...and of course tastes much better.

It is great! If you wanna go for a good saucisson, go for it! You just have to let it dry a little more outside the fridge...it has to be kept in a dry place!(like kitchen cabinet, pantry..)

Comments about Saucisson Sec by D'Artagnan:

I ate some of this sausage at my brothers house while he was in Chile over Christmas. When I found that it was more than just your 'off the shelf' sausage I had to buy two, one to replace his and one for me.

Comments about Saucisson Sec by D'Artagnan:

Always have friends over when ever I get new and different items from your shop. Served as you sent it was not good. Tough!!! Hard to chew. I placed it in the micro wave and nuked it until it was brown - and we all then agreed that it was 100 times better that way. There were 5 of us that judged it.
