Always a great success when I serve it on crusty French bread.
Comments about Rillettes du Perigord - Duck Rillettes:
Very rich and a treat to eat. My "taste test" results proved that a bold red wine, a nice ale, or champagne would do more for this than the "lemony Chardonnay" suggested above. Arugula (a respite from the richness) and fresh figs can be nice accompaniments along with the crusty French bread.
Comments about Rillettes du Perigord - Duck Rillettes:
Rillettes is best eaten on toasted slices, or on freshly baked warm bread.
The warmth melts the rillette which makes all the flavoures come out even more & better.
Oral Heaven, as far as I'm concerned ;)

Nice, rich duck flavor and not too fat or greasy at all. Very like my mother made; perhaps a bit blander but excellent. I like it best served with freshly baked bread or rolls at breakfast with good cafe au lait.

If, like me, you regard excellent duck as proof that life is truly good: indulge! Incredibly rich and flavorful, I made three meals out of this small package (and I really am a "big" man with a commensurate appetite).
My only regret is that I didn't buy more. Ineffably delicious!

If you have never tasted Duck Rillettes you haven't lived. I was so happy to find this product on igourmet and sometimes place an order just so I can get some more of this. My wife also loves it and we sometimes fight over the last bite
