Lomo Curado is a dry-cured pork loin that is very popular in Spain as part of a traditional tapas course. Always extremely lean, this cured meat is flavored with garlic, paprika, sugar and other spices, bringing out the full flavor of the pork. An exciting alternative to Serrano Ham or chorizo, slice it very thinly and drizzle the dish with extra virgin olive oil. Best served with Manchego cheese; it makes a great sandwich on crusty bread.

This was a very good choice. Love smoked meat and sausages and this is one of the best- great smooth rich texture and fantastic smokey flavor. ate it with some crusty rolls or some manchego cheese.

This is very delicious. Great flavor and virtually no fat. However, it HAS to be eaten at room temperature. Otherwise it just tastes like any other cured pork.

Good but not great
By PinkfloydVerified Reviewer from Atlanta on 12/22/2007
Pros:
Flavorful, High Quality
Cons:
Rubbery Texture
Best Uses:
Entertaining, Hors d'oeuvre

This has a fairly good flavor, but was a little tough, probably because I couldn't get it thin enough. I think this should be sliced very thin, thinner than I was able to do by hand.

Bought it based upon reviews and it didn't disappoint. It's great alone, in a sandwich, or dice it up and fry it up with eggs. I've been to Spain and this stuff takes just like Spain. Am ready to order again.

We used this as an hors d'oeuvre, and it wasn't as flavorful as others have suggested. Either needs more spices or salt. We will try on a pannini, and it will be better.

This was just wonderful. Very flavorful and lean. I eat it with cheeses and wine, but I think it could be easily used in other ways. Don't think I will ever eat summer sausage again, this was just to good to put down.

I had this as part of a tapas party and it wasn't a big hit. However, I think it will be good to add flavor to other dishes too. It was hard to slice thinly.
