After our most recent trip to Argentina and Uruguay, we are thrilled to introduce to our customers these magnificent steaks. Gauchos are the traditional caretakers of the herds that roam the immense South American grasslands. These South American cowboys live in harmony with nature and the ambient environment of the immense plains. The gauchos have a vital love for their lifestyle and a strong respect for the cattle that they tend.

Gaucho Ranch cattle roam freely in the fresh pastures of the South American plains, grazing according to their natural needs. They are never grain-fed or artificially stimulated with the objective of fattening. The free-range environment (each animal enjoys an average of 150,000 sq. ft. of natural pastures - 2 soccer fields) also eliminates exposure to unnecessary developmental stresses. These factors help the cattle to develop naturally, resulting in a tender, savory beef that is also low in fat and cholesterol.

Rib Eye steaks are also known as “Bife Ancho.” These steaks are well marbled with fat as a result, they are very tender and flavorful.
