Located in: Oil/Vinegar, Olive Oil
Founded in 1822, L'Olivier's quaint shop in the old Marais quarter of Paris still serves Parisians with their distinctly sweet, fragrant Provencal-style olive oil. Different from Italian extra virgin olive oil, L'Oliver Extra Virgin Olive Oil has a fruity but mild olive flavor. As France's most respected oil specialist, L'Olivier consistently produces versatile oils with low acidity. For attractive shelf-presence, we offer this oil in a rustic, half-liter, stoneware crock, which also helps preserve the oil's freshness.

Comments about A L'Olivier Extra Virgin Olive Oil:

I love good olive oil and this one really surprised me. I rate my olive oil a lot like wine. This has an unbelievable bouquet and a lovely initial almost sweet front of the tongue impact, then an awesome nutty finish. It is smooth, no bitterness and in general one of the nicer oils I have ever had the chance to dip with bread. I will order more and hope I can get it!

Comments about A L'Olivier Extra Virgin Olive Oil:

I wasn't sure what I'd be getting for a [$] bottle of olive oil, but I can say it's absolutely worth every penny. So far I've used it as a dip for crusty bread, and I agree with the other reviewers who say this is the best olive oil I've ever had. After our meal, we even saved the 1/8 tsp of olive oil that was left in the little dipping bowl; you cannot let even a drop of this product go to waste!

Comments about A L'Olivier Extra Virgin Olive Oil:

Perhaps the finest example of olive oil we've ever had the pleasure to enjoy.
So smooth, so rich yet not over bearing in any way. This oil should only be used for dipping or in other food preparation where it's outstanding qualities will not be masked by other foods or herbs.

There is a reason this oil is always out of stock, and we're all waiting for the next limited production run from A L'Olivier. We've found no other that can match the characteristics of this particular oil. It is so appealing, on more than one occasion I've been tempted to sip on a bit, as one would a fine Port or rare brandy.

Comments about A L'Olivier Extra Virgin Olive Oil:

Lovely and light, my family really enjoyed this olive oil. It is a bit on the softer side, so strong vinegar can wash out the sweeter notes in the oil. The clay jar it comes in is also quite nice for display.
