Crane's Creamery's flavored butters are an entirely new way to give everyday meals a delicious, gourmet taste. When you want the essence of "from scratch" cooking without all the work, Crane’s Creamery gives you the convenience and freshness you demand.

These flavored butters are formulated with a delicious blend of Grade AA butter, low-fat yogurt and canola oil. This process delivers all the rich, creamery taste of butter with less fat and fewer calories and most have less than one gram of carbohydrate per serving.
  • Honey: There's not much you can't do with this classic flavor. Turns into a light, piquant sauce that's just right on vegetables and poultry. Transforms ordinary vegetables into extraordinary side dishes. Delicious on a toasted bagel.
  • Five Herb: A delicious blend of finely-chopped parsley, thyme, basil, rosemary and oregano with a touch of real lemon juice. It's the perfect finish for all sorts of dishes -- from fish and steaks to steamed green beans, sauteed mushrooms, rice and potatoes.
  • Roasted Garlic: A mellow blend of roasted garlic puree and finely minced fresh garlic that delivers just the right burst of flavor. Use it to top a perfectly grilled steak or with hot baked potatoes. Try a few tablespoons in cauliflower puree; use it to saute baby spinach; or on steamed asparagus.
  • Maple Cinnamon: No cabin in Vermont? Just try this classic blend on top of warm pancakes and you're almost there. Spread some on a bran muffin or stir a little into hot oatmeal.
  • Truffle: Crane's newest and best seller!

The Roasted Shallot is to die for...
By Kaidi from Santa, Idaho on 9/9/2007
Pros:

Cons:
Container was too small
Best Uses:
Melted in pasta, On a bit of crusty bread, With a spoon
Describe Yourself:
Chef, Foodie
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I originally tried this as a pack of four - truffle, shallot, garlic and five-herb.I discovered I don't like truffles, and I can and have made an herb butter that I thought was more flavorful than the five herb. The roasted garlic was wondeful. The roasted shallot was absolutely amazing. Just a bit allowed to melt pasta or vegetables changed the whole character of the dish. I could bathe in the stuff.[...]I would have ordered four - lol - but alas, they were out of stock...and it's obvious why!
