If you have ever wondered how to create the magnificent steak dishes enjoyed at Argentinian steakhouses the secret is out - Chimmi-Churri sauce! A staple in Argentina and neighboring Chile, this wonderfully flavorful sauce is as versatile as it is tasty. Our Gaucho Green Chimmi-Churri sauce contains a barrel-aged brew of cider and red wine vinegars, fresh parsley and cilantro, virgin olive oils, hot peppers, worcestershire sauce, garlic, lemon, honey, soy sauce, teas, herbs and spices. Brush our vintage (2004) Chimmi-Churri on grilled, roasted or barbecued meats, poultry and fish for maximum flavor. It can also be used as a tenderizing, flavor-enhancing marinade. Try on vegetables or as a dipping sauce for fresh breads.

Very welll rounded sauce excellent for dipping, marinating beef or poultry, and for a quick dish try this added to ground beef with a little brown sugar for an Argentinian sloppy Joe! A household favorite.

Gaucho Green Left me Feelin Green

Comments about Chimmi-Churri:

The heat added to this chimichurri is a unique idea, but definitely not what chimichurri is about. We have real Argentinos' in my family and unfortunately this sauce was a dud for this group. Too much heat, too much oil, not enough acidity. Homemade chimichurri is still the best.

Comments about Chimmi-Churri:

I am a west coast/southwest transplant to the east. I live in the boonies in Western Maryland. Flavors from Mexico or similar regions are hard to come by out here. When I recieved the sauce added it to some pulled pork tacos we had made. Suddenly my homesickness was gone. Viva La Cilantro!

Comments about Chimmi-Churri:

I marinated both a pork tenderloin & boneless chicken breasts (at different meals). FANTASTIC flavor; very moist & tender. I want to try this with sour cream as a spread. I suspect it will be fabulous in every use. I will order this again. (but I want a thicker one.....like pesto.....)

Perfect Gift for Father's Day
By BBQ BEN from Big Sur, California and Montauk, NY on 4/28/2007
Pros:
Flavorful, Gets Better in Bottle, Intensely mellow, Rich
Cons:
Aroma attracts neighbors, Makes sausages too good
Best Uses:
Beef lamb chicken game, In cheese dips, Pork roasts are superb, Roasted root vegetables, Sandwiches
Describe Yourself:
Chef, Foodie, Frequent Diner, Gaucho is ORGANIC, Health Conscious, Love grilled foods
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Chimmi-Churri:

Gaucho is so good on meats and vegetables that you'll use it as the central good taste of many meals. To grill chorizo with Gaucho Chimmi, and then serve the sausage on chimmi-slathered crusty bread is Nirvana, and in Argentina it's the cocktail food of elegant parties. Yes, even the Argentines love Gaucho, although it's made in the USA. PLUS, each bottle is vintage labeled and you can keep it in your wine cellar until it gets richer and sweeter and mellower. GREAT STUFF!!!

Good but not authentic
By LorenaVerified Reviewer from San Juan, Puerto Rico on 2/26/2007
Pros:
Durable, Good Value, High Quality
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Chimmi-Churri:

This sauce is indeed very flavorful; every time I've used it the meat comes out tasty, moist, and tender. In fact, I intend to continue using it. My only problem with it is that it's far from the real thing. If you want a genuine taste of chimichurri, this is not the sauce for you.
