Les Trois Petits Cochons started in 1975 as a small charcuterie in the heart of New York's Greenwich Village, where founders Alain Sinturel and Jean Pierre Pradié cooked and offered pâtés and other French specialties to the neighborhood gourmets. They soon received rave reviews by such notables as Craig Claiborne, Mimi Sheraton, James Beard, and others. Once word got out, they began making pâtés for other restaurants around Manhattan.

Imported from France, these mustards were hand picked by Les Trois Petits Cochons. Moutarde de Dijon is a smooth mustard made simply with mustard seeds, vinegar, water, and sea salt. Moutarde a L'Ancienne is a whole grain mustard, also made naturally, without preservatives, with the addition of spices. These mustards complement any charcuterie. We particularly love their mustard with their Saucisson Sec! Varieties sold separately.

Comments about French Mustards by Les Trois Petits Cochons:

This is a fabulous French mustard. I was initially disappointed because I thought I was getting the grainy mustard but the "dijon type" is just as good and I'm glad I got a chance to try it. I have looked for it locally & have been unsuccessful in locating it here in Atlanta.
