There are a couple of facts that restaurant goers need to know. First, a crowd is an excellent indication that a restaurant serves great food. And second, even the finest restaurants don't make all of their sauces from scratch. You see, fact number one indicates that great restaurants draw crowds. This conclusion leads to fact number two - how can they serve all those people while making all of their sauces from scratch? That is where Menu comes in.

A world famous, high-end brand in the foodservice business, chefs turn to Menu when they need a great sauce that is ready to heat-and-serve straight out of the container. They are not beautifully packaged because they are not intended for the consumer market. But they have beautiful flavor, and that is what counts, anyway. The Pomodorina variety oozes with fresh-picked flavor while the Arrabbiato is spicy and delicious. If you can look beyond the label, these sauces will become a mainstay in your pantry before long.

I tried both of these sauces and definitely preferred the arrabbiato - nice zesty flavor. The pomodoro was a little disappointing - no real pizzazz. Used it with whole wheat pasta and my husband truly enjoyed.

Don't be foolish and let the [$] price tag deter you from what has got to be the best canned item in the universe! Besides, each can easily feeds a family of 4. These sauces taste wonderful right from the can - I have to force myself to wait for them to heat up. The Pomodoro has rich Italian tomato flavor and the Arrabbiato is sinfully spicy. This is not, repeat not, a fat-free sauce, as evidenced by the liberal amounts of olive oil present in these sauces. There is NOTHING that you need to add to Menu pasta sauces - no doctoring necessary. In fact, it's a sin. Have I convinced you yet? Buy these sauces!

HIghly recommended, actually tastes homemade although a bit pricey. Truly enjoyed this sauce and since the taste is so good there were no other seasonings to add.

Being Italian, I have tasted lots of homemade and ready made sauce bought in the supermarket, and "Menu" sauce is the most authentic homemade, flavorful tomatoe sauce I have ever tried!
