Taramosalata is a traditional Greek spread created from the delicate roe of carp. Pale pink in color, this caviar spread is a terrific savory treat that can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. Our Taramosalata is made exclusively from roe naturally cured and aged a minimum of 12 months. It is then carefully blended with soy oil and lemon juice to create this all-natural delicacy. Preservative and artificial ingredient free.

Comments about Taramosalata:

Sadly, it misses the full powerful flavor of Taramasalata as it can be found easily in Europe! But it is better than some other brands.
It seems that the flavor is toned down, but the texture is good and it is not just potatoes.

Comments about Taramosalata:

Excellent balance of flavors and texture! A real treat anywhere but especially in a place like Montana, where many ethnic foods simply are not available. My hostess there is a real taramosalata connoisseur, and she was ecstatic. I myself was worried that it might be too fishy, but it was not at all. Wonderful on the various Italian flatbreads and with kalamata olives.

Comments about Taramosalata:

This is not a good example of Taramosalata. I have tried many brands and this particular one is very tart and fishy. Taramosalata is usually creamier with a less fishy taste as the roe has been blended better.
