The Three Graces—Aglaia (Splendor), Euphrosyne (Mirth) and Thalia (Good Cheer) of Greek mythology, have adorned the label of every bottle of Clos Du Val wine since 1972. The essence of charm, beauty and elegance, the Graces honored the most joyous of Olympian banquets and celebrations; hence, they are the perfect embodiment of Clos Du Val’s philosophy that the celebration of fine wine, fine food and conviviality is truly one of life’s greatest pleasures.
Tasting notes:
Light gold in color with a green tinge, our 2004 estate Chardonnay exhibits aromas of pear and pineapple balanced with notes of bread crust and some smoke. Its clean tropical fruit, citrus, and green apple flavors are prominent on the palate, yet integrated with small amounts of toast. A medium-full bodied wine, this Chardonnay shows excellent balance, fresh acid and a clean, crisp finish.
