HOT - Pepper Dog Salsa MILD - Pepper Dog Verde Salsa
Pepper Dog first wagged his tail shortly after the company (Pepper Dog Salsa) harvested its first crop of hot peppers several years ago. He immediately made himself at home and became one of the family. Tom and Ginger Molthen initially created Pepper Dog in their home kitchen and served it to friends and family on special occasions. In fact, it was first introduced at the Molthen family annual beach trip. Over time, its fame grew and, before long, neighbors and strangers were calling to ask for more.
Pepper Dog Salsa is a mixed breed of tomatoes, peppers, cilantro, garlic and spices, blended to a smooth consistency. One of its unique features is, unlike most salsas, it is not very chunky. It is made without preservatives and gets by without some of the traditional salsa ingredients like vinegar and onions. The only difference between the mild and hot varieties is the heat. Pepper Dog is the same ol' dog, no matter how much bite he has. While Pepper Dog loves tortilla chips, he also likes being mixed with melted cheddar cheese for a tasty cheese dip. A unique mix of spices gives Pepper Dog Salsa a delicious smoky flavor, making it a great accompaniment to meat dishes such as chili, tacos, grilled chicken and hot dogs..
