Jamaica's Abbey Green Estate is one of the premier coffee producing farms and the main supplier of berries for the Amber Estate label.

Abbey Green Estates is the highest farm in the Blue Mountains at 4500 ft and the only gateway to the famous Blue Mountain Peak, 7,402 ft. above sea level. All the trails that go to the Blue Mountain Peak goes through the Abbey Green Farm. Amber Products LTD., the current operator of Abbey Green, is a boutique roaster of the finest Jamaican Blue Mountain "Amber Estate" coffee. Entrepreneur and noted ENT Consultant Surgeon, Dr. Charles Lyn started the company in 1994.

Amber Estate Coffee uses only the finest handpicked big bold beans from Screen size 19, 18 & 17, designated Jamaica Blue Mountain no.1 for both the roasted beans and roasted ground. This ensures that each cup has the fullest manifestation of notes in both aroma and taste.

Amber Estate Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee is a premium estate brand. Maintaining quality and freshness is of utmost importance. After pulping and drying, our coffee is rested for eight to twelve weeks in specially constructed silos of cured wolmanized pine.

After the beans are selected by bean size, density, color and appearance, the coffee is roasted in batches. These beans are then subjected to the final test - the cup. Recognized cuppers use their sensitive palettes to select the very best, which are then given the classification Jamaican Blue Mountain. The coffee is then vacuum-sealed and placed in 8oz.. bags with one way valves which further preserves freshness. Before shipment, the Jamaica Coffee Industry Board Quality Assurance team conducts a random inspection. Amber Estate coffee is shipped only with the qualified approval of the Coffee Industry Board. Ambert Estate coffee is origin roasted. They roast and package all of their Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee in Jamaica where Jamaican law prohibits the importation of green coffee by the roaster.

Hard to find
There's no substitute for this coffee, it's the best. I bought one for a friend for Christmas and will soon order another.

Expensive but worth it!
This was a Christmas gift for my husband, who knew how expensive this type of coffee is and would never buy it for himself, though it is his favorite. So he was delighted that I did.
