Bali Blue Batur is harvested in the interior highlands of Bali on and around the active volcano Mount Batur, near lake Danau Batur. Brighter than its other Indonesian counterparts, but still maintains the characteristics of the Sumatran coffees. Rich aroma, with a good body and medium acidity, this coffee shines in a medium-dark roast. The "blue" in the name comes from the slight blue-hue of the beans. This coffee is sure to be a hit among fans of other Indonesian coffees, like Papua New Guinea, Java, or Timor. Although most Bali coffee was historically consumed by the Japanese market, we are finally getting a small supply of these rare but delicious beans on our shores.
