Rosehips (fruits of the rose) have been eaten as fruit in Europe and Asia and by Native Americans for centuries. These fruits are high in Vitamin C. During World War II, British school children were given a sweet rosehip syrup made by boiling the perfumed fruits in a mixture of sugar and water. Rosehips produce a deliciously sweet jam with a slight tang and a beautiful red-orange color. The flavors are somewhat reminiscent (but not as sweet) of quality peach jelly, with a tart balance.

Bavarian Rosehip Jam
The flavor is great, but it's the texture of this jam that I love. It's very smooth and silky.

Old Fashioned Goodness
Like my grandmother used to make back in the 50's! Creamy thick and absolutely delicious. Hard to find in grocery stores.

the best Jam for scones and whatever!
Rosehip jam is pretty tough to find in stores - this brand is the essence of what it's supposed to be - not too sweet and with rich 'fruity perfume'. My first experience with igourmet.com - excellent service - easy and they deliver exactly what they said they would - on time! I'll be back.

Old-Fashioned flavor
has a great texture and a balanced sweet/tart flavor. I have never tasted any jam better than rose hip, it's very hard to find and this is a very good price for such a speciality item.

A Rare Find
As delicious a rose hip jam as the jam my mother made from the rose hips I picked in the wild when I was a child.

Great Gift!
I have purchased this product several times. My Mother being of German decent has enjoyed this product several times. It bought back memories for her from when she was a little girl to the blessed age now of 89! Goes great on Bagles or other bread products. Thank you!
