One of the rarest, most sought after Dutch specially-cured cheeses has been made in the southern provinces of the Netherlands for over 800 years - Extra Aged Farmer Gouda. Easy to distinguish, it is the dairy world's equivalent of a Rembrandt or Van Gogh. This edible opus magnum has been matured for eighteen months, allowing its body to develop a muted caramel color, matched by an intense flavor with a sweet finish. Extra Aged Gouda can be grated or chunked.

Our Extra Aged Gouda is aged 18 months and is produced by CONO Kaasmakers under the Beemster brand. CONO is located in Northern Holland, famous for its rich milk and fertile grazing land.

Recommended by a Dutch native!
My wife is from the Netherlands and she is an expert on quality cheese! Unfortunately, we haven't had easy access to aged Dutch cheese(we live in a small town in Georgia)- just the young cheese which isn't as tasty. Thankfully I found the igourmet website which sells just what we've been looking for! The Beemster Classic Extra Aged Gouda gets a huge thumbs up from my Dutch wife (and from me as well)!

Bold & tasty
I can eat this by itself. Goes best with crackers that have dried fruit in them along with some dried cranberries, slightly sweeter champagnes, wines that are not very dry like Grenache.

So Very Good
