Cheese from Argentina has been gaining attention as of late, due to Argentina's unique cultural upbringing. While the recipes used to form the cheese are descended from Western European settlers, the cheese itself shows off the beautiful and flavorful taste inherent in the milk from grass-fed cows. Following in this tradition is this parmesan imported from Argentina, which showcases the milk's unique terroir.

This hard table cheese has a salty, nutty, and slightly tangy flavor, due to its careful aging. Produced by the legendary cheese makers at Zerto, this cheese is enrobed in black wax once it has aged to its peak perfection. This seal keeps the cheese from continuing to age and lose moisture as it makes its way up the coast from South America. Somewhat crumbly, this cheese grates easily and is the perfect topping for pastas, soups, or hors d'oeuvres.

Good parmesan, quick shipping.
I'm new to buying cheese (parmesan) over the internet, this turned out well. Very quick shipping, good packaging, and out of the 3 cheeses I bought, only 2 of which I've tried so far, this was the better of the 2. Good product.

Parmigiano? no,,BUT good taste!!
This is good cheese with good value.But you should not expected as same good as Parmigiano Reggiano - If you do,you will be very un-happy.But regarding of price,it's worth to try. But keep in your mind,this is quite"different" hard cheese with touch of Parmigiano's flavor. I really enjoyed this cheese as snack in the late afternoon sipped glass of wine accompanied to book. I could rate this cheese better than just three. The reason was very personal...it's "waxed"so there's no hard rind of cheese that I keep them for cooking which adds great flavor to dish(It will be removed when you serve).Just tiny thing but gives me huge enjoyment with good cheese. "Wax"might very inportant for this cheese,but I am not big fun of it.

Less expensive does not always mean less taste
I used the Zetro parmesan last night and was very pleased. The texture and the quality were excellent. I would highly recommend this cheese to all my fellow cheesers.

Not a Parmesan...
Not even close, but decent in its own right. I had hoped for something resembling a Parmigano Reggiano, but was disappointed in that regard, both in taste and texture. There are none of the sharp, acidic, crystalline qualities that make true Parmesan so special. As advertised, it grates easily and melts well. As I said, decent, but don't get your expectations too high.

Great flavor
This cheese has a wonderful flavor and is not exceedingly sharp in taste as are similar types of cheese.

Remarkably good, but...
...not so much a hard parmesan. More like a Manchego (well, not quite that soft) but the flavor is balanced sharp and the mouth feel almost creamy. Wow. Eat this with crackers or plane it on to salad. What are those Argentinians up to? Highly recommended especially at this price point.

Perfect on Pasta
I really enjoyed this parmesan, it was very flavourful without being overpowering and went beautifully with my angelhair pasta dish.
