Set deep in the heart of traditional Stilton cheesemaking country is the small English market town of Melton Mowbray where the Tuxford & Tebbutt Creamery stands externally unchanged in appearance since its construction in the eighteenth century. Tuxford and Tebbutt Blue Stilton is characterised by its typical blue veining with rich complex flavours and a piquant finish. To be called "The King of Cheeses" a Stilton must be made only in three counties from local milk which is pasteurized before use, be made only in the traditional cylindrical shape, be allowed to form its own crust or coat, be unpressed, have delicate blue veins radiating from the center and have a taste profile typical of Stilton. The cheeses are still matured individually and are turned and graded by hand as has been the case for many generations. Whilst the manufacture is traditional, a huge amount of monitoring and measuring is carried out to ensure that this cheeses meet the highest quality standards. The Tuxford & Tebbutt brand is a guarantee of prize-winning traditional Blue Stilton which will delight the palate of the most discerning cheese connoisseur. At the World Cheese Awards in 2012, Tuxford & Tebbutt Blue Stilton was crowned as the Supreme Champion of the event, taking home a total of five awards.

Considered by some to be second to Long Clawson, etc. T&T is still a tasty bit, and this format is very much better than you'll get precut in retail outlets. Remember to serve @ room temp!

Not Worthy of the name
So sorry I bought a 2 1/2 pound half moon of this based on prior reviews. Tasted almost like a bland white cheddar cheese. Very little blue cheese taste. Will not buy again and will probably just throw it out.
