The recipe for this soft yellow cheese, whose name simply means Farmer's Cheese, originated in Sweden. Our version, true to the Stromwall Brothers original, is made in the USA by Noon Hour Food Products of Chicago, Illinois. It has a has a semi-soft texture similar to Havarti but without the holes. A mild tasting cheese, it can be served as an appetizer or simply for snacking. Available plain or flavored with caraway.

This brings me back to when my Grandmother had Christmas Eve. We always had all the swedish food. Since they have passed its great to know I can get this.

It's a Christmas tradition and we just have to have Bondost. Every year we are pleased with the caraway cheese.

loved it! The store where we used to purchase it went out of business. I was so happy to find this cheese at i gourmet. It is a Christmas Eve tradition--a must have. So happy you carry it. Also looking for GRAD-OST cheese. Hope you will carry it next year.

Just as I remembered it from growing up. Our children were so happy to have bondost for Christmas. Being able to order and specify a delivery time meant I could do this early and forget about it. Arrived on time and in excellent condition. Thanks!

Bondost Wheel Cheese
Rating 5 out of 5 This cheese is exactly how I remember it as a kid when my Grandmother & Mom would get it for Christmas. Its impossiable to find locally most of the time and have not had it for over 10-years. I found it on iGourmet months ago and ordered 2 and paid for delievery on Dec. 16. It arrived ON TIME and The ice packs still keeping the cheese cool and fresh. (just wish it was cheeper. lol)
