We always welcome the arrival of Autumn because it heralds the start of the Brie season. The most prized and celebrated of all French cheeses, Brie is believed to have been created prior to the Eighth Century. Charlemagne's chronicler, Eginhard de Saint Gall, reported that the Emperor enjoyed it at the Priory of Rueil in the town of Brie in the year 774. In 1815, the Prince de Tallyrand named Brie "Le Roi de Fromages" - The King of Cheeses. Each of our French Bries is shipped uncut. Enjoy it with a glass of champagne!
  • Made from pasteurized cow's milk.

Great Brie
I wish that the local grocery store carried this size wheel.

Very Pleased
I sent this to a friend for Valentine's Day as Bri is her favorite. She loved it. You get a lot of cheese for the price and she said the flavor was very good. I would definitely get this again

Surprisingly this is NOT a great brie
I was shocked with this purchase! I ordered $400.00 of cheeses, all were excellent except this brie. The packaging is beautiful and the cheese smells great when you open it! We let it sit room temperature like the others. Excitedly we tried it and we were shocked. This brie has no flavor, was not ripe/soft, and was a huge disappointment for all of us. We even heated it in the oven and the microwave, still no luck to make it any good. The rind is not soft, was hard, the cheese inside was not oozing and was bland/dry/yuck!

very disappointed in the brie cheese this ltime
Most of the times that I buy from you, the brie cheese has been absolutely wonderful. This last time I am so disappointed. the white covering was moldy and the cheese was not very good.

close to perfect
Left on the counter for a couple of hours, this two pound wheel disappeared in short order. It was rich, flavorful, smooth--everything a brie should be. Could well stand its ground against a Brie de Meaux.

Very Tasty
Nice, Creamy Texture; Large enough to cut some substantial Slices.

not as good as expected
After several people based one of the 2 lb rounds at my husband's birthday party the comments were negative. No one else was interested after that. My husband finally tasted it (he eats everything and usually like it) and thought it was rubbery tasting. I have a dairy allergy so I did not indulge. In the end we tossed the other 2 lb round and the 1/2 of what was left from t he first round.

Brie the cheese of kings!
THe two pound wheel of brie did not disappoint. Having had the one pound wheel over the holidays, I decided to go for the larger selection. It is creamy and very tasty!
