Cambozola, which is made by Kasseri Champignon in Bavaria, is a rich and creamy Camembert-type cheese with a bloomy white rind. Beneath its crust, one finds streaks of tangy blue. Hence its name: the marriage of Camembert and Gorgonzola gives us Cambozola. This combo really intrigued me...
... and it didn't disappoint. The first bite was a little disconcerting but each subsequent taste increased my enjoyment. "Stinky" like a good blue, but creamy so it's easy to spread on Saltines. (I know that's not very sophisticated but it's a great vehicle to get the cheese in the mouth without hiding the true taste.) I've got my eye on other cheeses to try so this may not be my next re-purchase but I'll definitely be coming back to it. Service and delivery were just as described.

My daughter Let this cheese warm to room temperature and served it with your rainbow crisp crackers, some apple slices and a Williamsburg Two Shilling red wine. She raved!

My favorite
Since I tried this cheese for the first time ( a long time a go ), has been my favorite since then, this cheese has everything, creamy, tasty, flavor, combination of the extraordinary blue cheese with the amazing brie...all in one, what else you can ask?

Cambozola has a delicate cheese with a little punch of the Blue Cheese taste.My order came in fresh which makes the taste much creamier. Thank you igourmet for shipping fresh products. I like mild tasting creamy cheeses and will continue placing orders.
