This Italian honey is produced between the months of May and July, when coriander blossoms are in full bloom. Called Coriandolo, this honey has a crystallized texture and is colored a delicate light beige. Upon opening the jar, the bouquet is fairly intense, slightly reminiscent of the spice coriander, but also with a final aroma of citrus. The taste is fruity and balanced, with a finish recalling hints of candied citron.
Mieli Thun's small, family run company is renowned for its many types of single variety Italian honeys, obtained through knowing and directed nomadic beekeeping. Their ambition is to help lead a renaissance in artisanal honey-making: the quintessence of the art of gathering honey.
